Tyler:

Yes. We have another great episode today. We're going to go over, we're going to go over last season. We're going to go over foodie that was a little over the top. Oh yeah, we got a whole bunch of stuff in this episode, so I'm super excited. My next season preview is going to be so sweet already starting next. But if today is your first time with us at Gym Closet is a Krave Gym podcast, giving our athletes a deeper look into what we do and kind of a behind the scenes pull back the curtain on everything we do and why we do it. In doing that, sometimes we get out some decent information that people can use in their everyday life, work, fitness, all of the above. So, uh, thanks for stopping in today. We are recovering from a little bit. Smash Park. Um, so smashed park. We're going to do a little season recap. Uh, this season was awesome. Like this was probably one of my favorite seasons that we've had. Not only the training and everything that we've done, but the fact that the participation was huge and everything that we did. Um, we had an awesome time. The training was phenomenal and people got so much strength results and that's kind of what we're after. I mean, it was, yeah, it was, it was an awesome season. Um, so next season's going to live up to that season just like that. It's a, it's an awesome opportunity as we get going on live and we'll start looking at comments and stuff. So if you have any questions, if you have any comments on what we're doing, go ahead and uh, and leave a message, a comment and we will, uh, kind of check everybody out. Um, but season recap, it was an awesome season. Strength In Numbers was one of our best seasons to date and we worked with a habitat for humanity and had great results with the build, um, the workouts, all of that kind of stuff. We're was great. We have a last, this is the last week of the season and with that we have our season championship, our team championship Waukee champions versus West des Moines. So if you qualified, make sure that you are going to yes, the vans. And I got a little preview preview band to the make a move, a purple and orange. But if you qualified, make sure that you're at the, at nine o'clock on Saturday, it's going to be an awesome event. Not only that, but after that, once we've figured out and we crown the champion of crave in the Des Moines area in Iowa, in all of the United States, in the entire United national can, the moon, we are going to be the champs. And so once we find that out, we're going to go to Wellman's is have some brunch and everybody is invited. So even if you didn't qualify, if you just show up and cheer your team on and make sure that you come and have a blast with us and then we're going to get some brunch at Wellman's and, and start our day drinking. And I didn't, I didn't realize this when I set the pregame game plan. So the or the preseason game plan then is on Sunday, which is also a Cinco de Mayo

Jordan:

drink O' De Mayo as go to many people call it.

Tyler:

And so with that it's scheduled at at three. Okay. And in each location. But I do know that in Waukee Eddie's going to be there at eight to do a pre season, pre day drinking, Cinco de Mayo game plan for anybody who wants to get it in early. Um, and we may or may not have the staff to do that at West des Moines, but we will see, I will keep everybody updated and uh, let everybody know by uh, check Facebook page, check Facebook, check Instagram. We'll have, we'll have an update for everybody and we'll do it in the groups too. So if you're not in the group in the Facebook groups, make sure that you're in those groups. But that preseason game plan we'll be doing post testing for our current season and then pretesting into our agility season, which is make a move season, which is next season that we're going to talk about right now. So I'm super excited about next season. If you haven't heard already. It is agility season for those who are guessing online, I think most people got it right for agility season. So maybe because you told a lot. I told a lot of before I want to know who listens to the podcast because we told a lot of people but only on the podcast. I didn't really, I don't think I told a lot of people we trace was on long time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So maybe the rumors spread. Maybe they spread out, hear spreading. Yeah. Yeah. But the rumors are true. It is agility season. We make a move. Agility season. We were working with Arl, animal rescue league of Iowa, um, of Des Moines specifically. And so we will be working with them. We have three different events with them. A number one is going to be May 18th. It's basically a 18 mile bike ride, part of bar. Every drink that is bought proceeds go to, I think a buck goes to arl. Um, registration goes to arl. We will have for those watching, we will have these up on the walls. Just like every season they have a QR code to register. So that's Brown, you know what I mean? We're, we're getting at the Times, oh yeah, we're, we're way behind the times. But we're catching up slowly. Yes. So you can scan that, register for that event. I'm not 100% sure I need to register myself, but I'm not 100% sure on the costs. So, but I will know that here in the short future and when I register, I'll let everybody know, but that, uh, all proceeds for that will support a homeless pets at the arl a number two we have an event. Number two is going to be June 8th and that is going to be Krave Gym into house. So we will be having our team go to arl and help them inside of their house with their projects from 8:00 AM to 12. That basically is helping promote the welfare of animals, help strengthen human and animal, relations and all of those types of things that, you know, it just helping them do their everyday tasks. I'm not 100% sure, but I do know that you probably get the pet. Some animals,

Jordan:

if I get a pet, a dog, right, you've got to come in. It's like, yeah. So I'm so there.

Tyler:

That's the second thing. Um, that's June 8th, and then, uh, June 15th, six is June, right? Yes, yes. So June. Okay, so I'm quoting that right. So June 15th, we will be arl park workout. So we will have a workout in the park. Um, we are inviting the employees and volunteers with the arl to come there. A rain or shine. We are going to make a move. That's what is, get it seasoned it again.

Jordan:

Dang it. If you aren't the best at that, you know, I,

Tyler:

my, my pun game is on, I was on point and then we do have a little note here that on a uh, on a weekly basis we have our Krave gym, the gym closet. So, uh, listen to that. We also have a QR code on all of the flyers for that too. So make sure that you check that out and get there. So that's kind of our purpose partner or power partner. You know, we're really excited. This is the first time that we've worked with ARL and I'm super excited to be able to hang out with some awesome animals and uh, and help them out. But let's get into the training a little bit. So agility season and what does that mean? Basically agility is working on a couple of different things. So agility is balance power slash like explosiveness. So some of that we work this season which will jump into next season. Speed in coordination. So those are the things that we're working on. Agility basically is stopping and starting and changing directions, high speed and full body controls so that that really works in any sport. But any competitive scenario that we're in your, you're working agility, you're having to make that physical movement and changing your body. Um, the second benefit is burning a huge amount of calories in a small amount of time. So most hiit that you will do would be categorized as agility because most hiit that you're doing, you are sprinting and essentially by and by that work speed working on sprinting work speed. So, um, that, that's going to burn a hundred, a bunch of calories. Um, and it's comprised basically of plyometrics. Sprint like a exercises and utilizes various metabolic pathways to maximize caloric burn. So I like what that means.

Jordan:

Well, but you know what I like, what do you like? So we go from strength building us up, pumping us up, right? It's guys, it's spring. It's almost summertime. It's almost summer bod time straight into agility. Ended up burn it up. Oh, that live version paused.

Tyler:

I think we're at maybe, I don't know what that means. I think it'll just start reconnecting. Reconnecting. Okay.

Jordan:

So I love it you guys. If that was the plan and I'm sure maybe Bingo, Bingo. Bango I it. Yup. Some bods ready.

Tyler:

You know, and now it's going to be ready. So, um, so we're super excited about that. The uh, the challenges that the championship and the training camp are the next dates. So that is also on the sheets in the flyers that are be handed out. So training camp is the first week of the season and it always is, it's free for the community. So bring your friends, bring anybody that's interested because this is the guy, this is the best time to join the team because how, how many of these workouts have you done in the last year of this new season? Of this new season, I don't know when was the last time we had this season, a year ago. So you get zero of them. Zero, right? So everybody in not only new athletes that come in, but everybody in the world has not done these workouts for you for at least a year. It's not a small amount of time. That's a long time. So what we do is we break things down. We are going to be stopping the clock a little bit more frequently. We're going to be going over more of our movements, breaking down the movements, making sure everybody has it correctly. So not only do our, you know, our seasoned athletes, um, get a chance to refresh their form, but it's a great time for new athletes to come and, and figure out what they're doing in a slower, more instructional paced environment. And, and we, we get to work the entire week with those, uh, new workouts. Um, the challenges are Monday the 13th, Tuesday, the 21st Wednesday, the 29th, Thursday the sixth, Friday, the 14th, Saturday at 22nd, and those will also be published. So what we're doing in those and what we're going to be doing in the future is we're going to be taking the emphasis mostly and we're going to be doing challenges and they're not necessarily going to be challenges that are done within the workout. It's going to be a challenge day. So like pro agility is one of our first challenges. So pro agility is not in our workouts, but it's going to be challenged day. So we're going to take a portion of that agility that we would normally be doing and we're going to be testing our pro agilitys. That's also going to be something that we pretest on the preseason game plans. So those things are all one in the same. So we're going to streamline stuff a lot better. We're also going to have those events be in the championship, the team events. We'll also be in the championship, but then we'll have some of the individual events will be the ones that we've been testing on. They'll also be in next season's preseason game plan to test out of. So you'll be able to see all of these things, kind of tie in and be able to keep track of, of where you're going, what you're doing. Um, and a next season's championship. We'll touch on it real quick. It's going to be Saturday, June 29th, but we won't touch on it too much because we still have this season's championship, which I want to be huge, but next season we have something cool. So, um, shout out to Glenn. He, he was, I think he still is a big gamer. And what he used to do with some of his gaming buddies is do like some of these Easter egg thing. So he's working with us on some ideas for some of these extra games to get people involved in the championships and the challenges. And so it's going to be, it's going to be pretty cool to get technology involved, but I'm going to take a piece of that this season and say that you're, say that you're not even in town for the championship next season, you'll probably want to help your team out, right?

Jordan:

Oh yeah. So now we have an opportunity right?

Tyler:

So now what we're going to be doing is a new championship twist is basically you can help your team win the championship by doing these couple things all season long. And what these things are is super easy. You basically get one point for bringing a friend and so we are going to have an event at the championship that is won or lost by your team doing these activities. So you can, whether you are in town competing out of town, you know, whether God forbid somebody you know, you break your leg and you can't participate, you could still help your team win the championship. And the way that you do that is you get one point for bringing a friend the entire season and then you get one point for a selfie slash checking slash hashtag make a move crave West de Moines or Hashtag make a move cravois key. So those are things that at any point in the season, at any point in the season, because we are going to calculate all of those, those activities that are done within the entire season and say, say that, say that the championships tied at the end, right? Yeah. We still have one event and this event includes how many people in the entire gym got these points. So I think it comes down to being a good team, right? Your team, you know what I mean? You can if, if, if, if the guy's injured and sitting at the end of the bench, guess what? He's going to help his team with morale. All right, he's going to help coach his team and that's what we're able to do. Whether you're able to make the championship or you're not able to make the championship, you can win the championship for your team by doing these easy things. So there's two things. Bringing a friend. Anytime you bring a friend, you get a point and then a selfie checkin slash hashtagging, the Hashtag just assures that we can find. So that's kind of what hashtags are for. But#makeamoveKrave West des Moines. So or#makeamovekravewaukee. We'll have that published for everybody to know. Um, crave walkie, crave western Wayne or crave gym. Um, we'll go crave, crave, crave walkie crave western one. Yeah. Now if you bring a friend in and take a Selfie of both of you and then post side, is that two points? I'll allow it for two points. Yeah. Okay. Well you, it would be two points regardless. You still have to make them aware and then yeah, I mean it's worth two points what I'm saying. So like I just making sure that like do you want an extra point because that could be a teammate taking a selfie. So that could be two teammates in that one picture. Yeah. Plus you brought a friend. That might be three points. Oh, I think that's three point. Okay. So we'll, yeah, we'll, we'll, we'll be the judge of each of those. Okay. Um, but that could potentially be three points. So that's a twist on the championship that can get literally everyone and their mom involved. Yeah. Literally everyone and their mom can compete for championships, um, and, and help their team out because once you see these trophies that, that we're going back and forth and you want this trophy at either West des Moines or Waukee you want the trophy to stay home. Especially for when we have events like smashed parks. So you can mean mug. The other group was a little bit and even bring the trophy maybe, Hey I, you know, maybe a little bit, I should have, oh shoot. You know what? We might have to add a cup to the trophy so that we can just bring them to the drunk chug out of the cow. Yep. That, that might, that that's a discussion for another day. But that is definitely what we're thinking about. So I am so excited about this agility season. It is going to be so much fun. We are going to get great results. Not only getting shredded up because we burn so much calories, but also, you know, just being bad ass athletes is so much of what life is about. And you can, are we back on? Yes, we're back. We're back on. Okay. Yay. Okay. You guys missed a lot. But, um, but listen to podcasts and you won't miss anything. So, um, that's what agility is all about. We're super excited and we are going to have another great season next season and we keep building in some of the things that's such a great, sorry to interrupt, but we have such a great team of athletes and have coaches that helped me out. Like I can't take credit for half of the shit that we do, but we have such a tight team and, and, and we are able to implement a lot of different things and a lot of great ideas just because we have so many amazing people involved. And so thank you to everybody and anybody that you know, and if you do have any suggestions or anything that you think we, we definitely take every suggestion. Everything that we hear we take to heart and we try to make the best program, the best, uh, championship series, the best everything that we can to make it, you know, exactly what everybody needs. And so, um, thank you to everybody that gets involved. But sorry, what we're going to do it.

Jordan:

So I'll tell you right now, one of the coolest things that you guys did during the last season. Did I am stoked about you bring him back his listing when the challenges are going to be. I think that's huge. I think that it's, and it's great to know like, all right, I need to be available on these days because everybody's schedule changes. You know, sometimes it would suck. I'd be like my house at four 30 or whatever and then realize, oh, challenge happened today. I just saw that. Incredible. I think that going to help bring people in, I think it's going to help people win. Um, and then this QR code, this is like the coolest thing ever, right? This is the future innovative. Yes.

Tyler:

He may have to download a QR code reader. I did have to. Um, but I mean, it's amazing because it just scans it and it goes right to the thing and I can make them, I can make a QR code for literally everything in anything that I want. So, um, I just put it up there and you register or you go listen to the podcast all on from this QR code on the piece of paper that, that we get. So, um, I'm just stoked about next season. It's going to be, we, you know, the big thing that we want to make sure that we always do is we always improve on our season, our championship. We improve something every single year or every single season, every single time we're able to, to make something better and continue to strive for greatness. So it's, it's super awesome that, I mean, I've said super awesome and super excited like a hundred times while you are, I'm kind of pumped. I'm like shaking your my seat and everybody can see this on live, but I'm, I am super pumped for it. Um, so the new season is next week, so join us for the championship and the after Brunch, join us for the preseason game plan, whether it's early in the morning, at eight or uh, on Sunday or three. We will definitely have it at three. We may or may not have it at, at a, I know walk, he's having it at eight and then come join us for training camp all next week and we will get into next season and make it a blast. So a blast that he blessed. Blessed, blessed and that what you did you say that? Yeah. Awesome. So with that, um, and with our a or are, uh, smashed park event going so successfully, it was awesome. It was, it was an awesome event. Thanks for everybody that was going, it was a, uh, it was a great time, but we had um, uh, Dave's band that played Pie in the Sky. So good. Every time I've seen them three times I've gone that they've had a different singer. It's always the same, but I have now seen three other singers brought in and also, and they're all stars. So good. They're a good man. That's amazing. Awesome van to watch. And they, with them setting that atmosphere and then just like releasing Krave athletes onto the world. It was an amazing time. And, and with that, today's block hat on the second row is self control. So I like how they describe it here though. Self control is the ability to discipline ourselves, to keep our emotions under control, to become our best good judgement and common sense are these are essential no matter what the task, whether it's physical or mental. If our emotions take over, we're not going to execute near our personal level of competency because both judgment and common sense will be impaired. So they're talking about, not necessarily about all of our partying that we did, but literally a daily basis. And, and being able to keep your emotions in check and make decisions because your emotions are in check and you have that self control. And a lot of that might be just, you know, taking a deep breath, counting backwards from five and, and not overreacting or, uh, reacting to soon to a situation that, that might, you know, walk away from it. I'll come back to, and you'll feel a lot better, right? That whole, yeah. Have you ever done that where you like start typing up an email and I'm like, no. The way through it. And you're like, you're reading it and you're like, I'm going to hold onto this just for a little bit longer and you come back, you're like, thank God I did not send that. I was an emotional. I'm glad I didn't. I'm back. I'm back. This is a professional site. Yes. Or, or you know, we get, uh, we get a text or a call from a family member or something and you want to react right away and just get fired up. But if you take a deep breath and you have that self control for like 10 seconds, I mean it takes 10 seconds. He breaths, that's the amendment. And then you're like, oh, okay, I'll react to this situation a little bit different.

Jordan:

Maybe a, well, maybe it's not the end of the world. Right. So I mean it's,

Tyler:

it's, it's amazing what self control does and they, he goes on to say a lack of self control not only hinders individual achievement, it inhibits team accomplishment. So that is, that goes into, you know, what you're doing with the team and making those good decisions. All of your decisions affect your team, affect your family and all that kind of stuff. And so everything good that all the good decisions that you do. Like I know some people in amber is this way that literally only does stuff. It doesn't do things for herself. She only does stuff for other people. Right? So this is a good example of think of self control and think of these things as doing stuff for other people. Your team's going to be better off, your family's going to be better off every year. Your work is going to be better off your, you know, your uh, what do, what do you call that? People you work with your work peers.

Jordan:

Work proximity associates.

Tyler:

That is a mouthful, but I like him a work proximity associates.

Jordan:

Shout out Ron Swanson though.

:

All of those environments are going to be better. So think about self control as doing, if you're one of those people who literally only does stuff for other people, um, think about self control and making those good decisions as a impact on your team as an impact on your family as an impact on your work proximity associates. But, and the other thing is like if you have a negative thing, it, even if it doesn't directly affect you, sometimes your outburst or your anger is going to have a negative effect on somebody, especially at work. Oh yeah. Tell you what, like if you yell at somebody about something, it may not be you that catches the flack of that. Like it's this person over here who then got screamed at by the person that you yelled at. Yeah. Um, I mean, and and so, yeah, so it's like that chain of that chain effect. But I mean, it's funny because like if you have kids, you know what I'm talking about, but like say say me and amber getting an argument and I yell something. Yeah. If, if I yell at her and like Pierce hears me like it is, it is emotional. Like his reaction tells me that, okay, I have affected somebody else in a negative way. I tried to get my point across by yelling and that not only probably didn't get the point across because amber doesn't listen to damn thing. I said, yeah, but I probably didn't get the point across to her. But it also had a negative effect on your, your kids don't know how to shield a lot of times from how they're just, they just, yeah. So as soon as they catch it, they react in an emotional way. And so like I can always tell and I've been really trying hard not to have an argument or not to yell and raise my voice in that context when Pierce's is around because or, or Ivy for that matter, because they immediately react. And it's interesting because I can tell that I've affected them and this is the same thing. Adults know how to hide it though. Right? So an adult, if you, if you're yelling at someone else, that adult is, is either put it in a different adult is put into an awkward situation, but they're not going to, or maybe it pisses them off and it makes them look at you in a different light, but they're not going to like come up and like start sobbing because of it. If it's not directed towards them, they're just going to keep it to themselves. But you've affected somebody else in a negative way, you know? No Man wants to do that. Right. And it's not necessarily yelling. Maybe. Maybe it's a lot of things you

Jordan:

can do and maybe come in a little grumpy. You'd come in, you just not the nicest in the world. Maybe you don't help them out on something. Somebody asks you for a favor and you're like, Nah,

Tyler:

maybe it's uh, um, sending a company wide memo. There's some movies on that, isn't there?

Jordan:

I Dunno.

Tyler:

I think, I think there's a couple movies. Show me the money. That one was one of them. Like a company you've never seen. A Jerry Maguire, Tom Cruise, Jerry Maguire seen Jerry McGuire. Show me the money, show me the money.

Jordan:

What memo did he send? Is it been a long time?

Tyler:

Yeah, he, so when he quits his first job, he sends a memo that is like how they should be treating their clients and stuff and he's, I don't know if it was on purpose or I think he was drunk, but he didn't accidentally almost said he had like an epiphany and sent it to the company wide ends up getting fired because yeah. And then and then goes on to create his own company because of it. But that would be an example of okay. Should have probably not type that entire memory memorandum when you were hammered. If I'm not drone, not self controlled, that would definitely lack of self.

Jordan:

No self control there.

Tyler:

Yes. So, um, but this week go ahead and work on self control when it comes to your emotions, when it comes to things, just take a deep breath, count to five, count backwards to five.

Jordan:

What is your three breaths? To me that's like a big one where I feel like, um, and I think I picked it up from like a dumb TV show, but then like I started doing it three breaths deep in deep out. It feels like a third of what I'm mad about, slips out each time. And by the end of it I'm like, no, I'm good.

Tyler:

All right, I'll bear. I love that. I do. There's a book that I know we went over in a previous podcast, but we'll have to talk about it, uh, off to find it again. But it, it had me count backwards from five.

Jordan:

Yeah.

Tyler:

Because it resets your brain type of thing. I remember that. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Um, so we'll have to dive back into that book and remember what it was. Um, but you'd count backwards from five because literally your mind's so programmed to count forward one, two, three, four, five. That counting backward actually like messes up the electric electricity deal of your, of your brain and you have to like reset how you're thinking. So it's an actual reset, which actually, uh, on a, on a, on a sad note to report on a, on the personal side. So away from pyramid SelfControl awesome practice, self control all week. But speaking of brains and electrodes. Yeah. Yeah. So, um, for those who follow us on social media, Pierce, we were in the hospital for the last like 24 hours yesterday or 24 hours. We got back last night. So previous to last night we were there for like 24 hours. Um, so we'd gotten like an EEG and a CT scan and stuff for pierce. So little rascal, he's a pain in the ass. But what he, long story short, he learned to roll his eyes, which two couldn't be. If it's a kid's rolling his eyes into the back of his head and, and like stumbling and having to reset, that can be a sign of two things. He can either have just found a new trick and he's being a pain in the ass or he or it could be a seizure. And so I'm playing it safe. You know, obviously amber is a lot better at this than I am, but she plays it safe. She, we went to the doctor, they had the, at like four o'clock on Monday, they had the exact same thing. They said that it could be two things. It could be seizures, really bad deal, or it could be that he's just being a toddler. Right?

Jordan:

Yeah.

Tyler:

And so in that we went, as soon as we got home from the doctor, he did it like four times in a row. And so then we were like, okay, let's go to the Er. So we went to the Er, they did the neuro thing and, and we figured out that, you know, he had to wear this like electrodes on a shoutout. Ashlyn Ashlyn right. She's an athlete here. What, uh, for 30, almost always. Yeah. Yeah. So, um, she, uh, shout out to Ashlyn. She's actually a neurotech and so she, she's who put the electrodes on pierce and stuff. Yeah. So it was, it was awesome to see an athlete that came in and helped us out too. So, um, but you basically put all of these electrodes and they read your brain waves. And so he, in that 24 hours he did that, he rolled his eyes back like 10 times and during that time they could tell that they weren't seizures. They were just a behavioral deal. So we are in a good spot. It was a stressful 24 hours, but, uh, we figured out that, um, he's just being a messing with. Yeah. He's just messing with us. But yeah, I mean it was, it was kind of creepy cause he'd do it when he was walking, so like, you know, try to walk and tried to do a giant eye roll, you automatically. Right. Or he would do it and you could tell he like had to shake it off or he'd rub his eyes. Yeah. And so I think that he just figured out, oh, I can do this and this is kind of a fun thing that I, you know, it feels weird, so I'm going to continue to do it and scare the shit out of my parents like that. That's, that's kind of mindset the whole time. That was his mindset. Um, but good news is there is no seizures and we're in a good spot. So, um, thank you for everybody that, um, for the thoughts and prayers and everybody that was fallen along our journey as we went to the hospital and he was doing like wheel on the bus dance that just was hilarious with his deal on his head and his backpack. And if you haven't got a chance, um, follow myself or amber or a perfectly pierce and, uh, most likely you already follow up perfectly your peers because he has like 38,000 followers. But, um, but go check out that video because that is hilarious. Uh, but moving along, we have a,

Jordan:

today I learned today, Joanne has a, today I learned here, oh, this is a funny one. Okay. So today I learned to help prostitutes business in the 16th century Venice, the authorities designated a bridge where they could stand and show their breasts to potential clients. The bridge still stands to this day in is called Punk del entity or bridge of tits bridge of titties. I love it. So yeah, it's bridge of tits. It's like, uh, a breast board billboard. Yeah. Yeah. So they're just selling their services. They're just, they're just trying to, just trying to make a living. I mean it's a legal business over there, right? Yes. Well I definitely in the 16th century, I don't know if it's still is now. I think they have legal prostitution. No, let's see. Some hostels are a thing. I don't know what they mean.

Tyler:

That The red light district and as a thing, I don't,

Jordan:

yeah, it's a thing, but I don't understand it. I think it's just a legal business really. Yeah, because they have, they have like they have women probably not on the outer ridge, but not anymore.

Tyler:

Not like out in, you know, like our storefront Waukee. Yeah, they have like if it's, if it's not just like a movie thing, I don't, well I don't know. That's where I got it. That's where I've seen it in movies and I'm just like this, like this is not real, but I feel like it could be real because if it's legal over there and that's the billboard is a billboard. That's the, that's the sign. That's the storefront sign. Yeah. Storefront sign. His storefront rotational still works. Oh, so we're going to get speaking, we're going to get into our foodie, which is a nuts. And uh, Jordan will tell you

Jordan:

it was nuts how nuts people went over this thing. It was absolutely nuts that it was, I was shocked.

Tyler:

O ne of our highest performing, like, yeah, it was really cool. Yeah. And people were all about it. It was nuts. It was nuts. Okay. So, but I think, okay, one thing before we get started, I think the pictures, every single picture I saw, yeah. I put myself in, like I linked that picture with an exact situation of when I was eating that peanut or that general nut. And then I compared it to the situation of the other picture. Like it's weird as hell. No. Like, okay. So

Jordan:

like that they gave you such a visual effects. What was crazy. It's like, okay, cashews up against peanuts right there.

Tyler:

Literally in trail mix together. So I put myself in that situation where I'm eating trail mix. Which one of these do I like more? I eat the cashew out of it. Of course you do because that's so I voted cashew right? I, I had like, um, then I went uh, something versus pistachio, right in pistachio. I contemplated so hard whether if, whether the fact that I have to literally open it with my fingers and if I eat too many of them, my fingers hurt from the shells. Yes, I put that into play. But it was still so tasted, so good that it, that I beat it out for me. But it almost, it almost lost because of just the accessibility and the effort of, of this peanut.

Jordan:

I'll tell you what, people went all sorts of different ways with this. They took this because some people they were like, how the hell are or hey is hazelnut losing to pistachio? And I was like, what do you mean? How is it losing to pistachio? Like what when you eat a hazelnut, hazelnut and then they, I'm thinking that because otherwise he wouldn't get any votes. Nobody's thinking statue ice cream is delicious.

Tyler:

You don't[inaudible] you know the, the one that you put up on the board, like the most people voted. What's that game show? Um, yeah. Yeah. So that's what you, that's almost, you have to put yourself into a crowd of Heinz, I think about how most people are going to think about it because that's how people vote. And that's the interesting thing is like some of those on that game show some of those things like you would never think of and you're just like, wow, the majority of the people are weird. And you know, 72 out of a hundred thought this way and I did not think that way. I'm in the minority and this is a, that shows me that I'm, yeah, I'm the weird one, you know, so.

Jordan:

Okay. You ready for this results? I'm ready. Do you have a pen? I do. Okay. On my Instagram. Got Pistachio at 22 cashews at 15 okay. I've got to admit, this surprises me. I really thought that uh, cashews would kind of run away with this. That's pretty close. One C pistachio though. I had that entire scenario in my head and on the like

Tyler:

I literally tasted these and that's one thing that I think the pictures did so well is they were such a good picture that like literally tasted the nuts that you tasted Tyler, you heard it here. Literally tasted them. Now they went through him. Those pictures. Yes.

Jordan:

Okay, so here are the results. Seven at the, on the gym closet. Pistachio gets 11 cashew gets seven so pistachio runs away with it essentially doing three to 22 wow. I'm impressed. Pistachios apparently I thought, I really thought the way that you were thinking about them having to open those people don't eat them because they're hard to eat. I thought that would go against them. I did. I was like, this is going to hurt this.

Tyler:

This is why I think it didn't hurt them as much as because, and I love how we over analyze these foods, but I don't think it over, I don't think it hurt them as much because I eat them less, but that makes him more of a treat jam when I do hear what you're saying. You know what I mean? Is that something that you only eat very sparingly? That become that almost like a makes it more enticing. Yeah, exactly. It takes even better because you don't need it all.

Jordan:

It's the pictures dude. I was worried that when I was like I had to get pictures and that's like this is going to, they're going to be terrible. Probably had an amazing scrolling through them. I was like, these are amazing pictures. The only one in that, the reason I went top bottom was because of the first round. I just decided to stick with it after the first round, but peanuts and Macadamia, I was like, those look like the same fucking thing. I gotta I gotta. I gotta make sure to denote which one is which. And then after that you could easily tell. But I just decided to stick with it. But yeah, I, yeah, that was a fun one. I very much enjoyed watching those results come in.

Tyler:

And that was, it was, it was good. And like I literally, I literally put myself in the situation. Yeah. And I tasted them every time I voted.

Jordan:

I was just amazing. For those of you that listen to this, I love what you guys like, send me a Dm and tell me what you're thinking about this. I think it's hilarious cause I don't even know the results sometimes. Then I'll get a message and they're like, who the fuck is choosing this other one? And then like, you know, they send me the picture of what it is and I'm like, oh whoa. Parently a lot of people cause you're wrong. But so many people, so many people are against you.

Tyler:

But it's, it's, it's funny because it does, it gets emotional and people have such an emotional tie to food that like if, if somebody picks a different one, but I will say that every single round went exactly. How did you pitch? You got each one of them? I got every single one night.

Jordan:

I think I would have gone, uh, I don't know about some of the smaller ones. Like peanuts obviously is better than Macadamia Stash. Geo Cashew and almonds would have been better than, yeah, so that round I would've got him. Yeah. And I would have picked Stasha over almond and cashew over and it, but I would gone cashier, I would cash.

Tyler:

This is, I was, I was thinking, okay, as I picked, as I picked a pistachio over Holman rent or as I picked those semis, I was like, okay, I could see almond doing very good here because of the frequency in which popularity of it. It's like a health nut. Right? Yeah. I thought the same thing. I was like, I dunno. That's what's funny is I put myself in that situation and I was like, no, but I, I prefer to eat these. And then I also thought, okay, well obviously they're not there. It doesn't count. But I was thinking like d shelled pistachios are amazingly, they taste amazing, but I eat too many of them.

Jordan:

I was going to say I wouldn't trust myself and I told you just like sunflower seeds, like sunflower seeds be of work for it are bad. Otherwise you're screwed.

Tyler:

Yeah. So that is, that was an awesome, uh, it was an awesome foodie this week. We will have another one. We don't know which one this week that we will want to talk to everybody and we'll get one out for next week. Um, send us ideas.

Jordan:

That was actually, somebody sent me a friend back from El Paso, Andy Vega, if you're listening to this. Yeah. Um, on James Sucks. I just, he's a huge Lebron. Okay. I actually don't, I'm okay with that. I don't actually believe that, but if he happens to be listening, I want you to think that I like it. Okay.

Tyler:
